AYERS ROCK RESORT

Outback Pioneer Hotel – Refurbishment update

We are excited to share an update on the planned refurbishment of the Outback Pioneer Standard rooms and public areas.

As we work hard to make the Outback Pioneer Hotel even more inviting, we want to assure you that we will make our refurbishment periods as easy as possible for you as our loyal partners as well as our valued guests. The refurbishment will occur in a staged manner, where small blocks of rooms will be taken out of inventory, to minimise guest impact.

We previously advised that the Outback Pioneer Hotel will close from 01 November 22 – 31 March 23, however the Hotel will now remain open throughout the year.

Duration: 03 Oct 22 – 31 Mar 23 (Note; no works between 15 Dec’ 22 & 16 Jan’ 23)
Hours of work: 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 7am-12pm Saturday
Noise: Some noise expected – Nil before 9:00am
Air pollution: None expected
Visibility of work: Limited. Majority of work to be completed inside rooms, although external re-painting & the pool refurbishment is part of the project, and away from guest view with site fencing/screen cloth as required
Flow of workers: Guided through back of house areas wherever possible, minimal impact to guests
Existing and new trade partner bookings: during this phase, minimal guest impact is expected, therefore new bookings will be accepted (subject to availability at time of booking) and existing bookings will be honoured.

Group booking requirements – important and required information

To help avoid disappointment or disruption to your group's arrival please ensure the below is provided.

The final rooming list must include:

  • Reconfirmation of all meals & Voyages tour requirements
  • Final pax numbers
  • Dietary requirements

We recommend requesting meals and Voyages touring at time of initial booking of the group to avoid disappointment.

MOSSMAN GORGE CULTURAL CENTRE

New name and branding for iconic gorge
Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre. That’s the new name given to Mossman Gorge on its 10th anniversary which was celebrated in August with a community event, name change and new branding.
With the new name also comes a new logo, featuring art from one of the Yulanji guides at Mossman Gorge, Cameron Buchanan.

We ask you to kindly update your collateral and websites accordingly.

Best Regards,

Your Voyages Sales Team
