Guests visiting Ayers Rock Resort, Uluru this National Reconciliation Week can watch Indigenous art come to life, and take part in hands-on cultural experiences led by Anangu – the Traditional Owners of Uluru.
Running from 27 May to 3 June 2026 and developed around the ‘All In’ theme, this year’s program centres on Anangu art, with experiences designed to encourage listening and learning.
The Gallery of Central Australia (GoCA) will host a special presentation featuring the artwork brought to life in the Resort’s acclaimed Sunrise Journeys dawn experience. The showcase will share stories behind Ngura Nganampa Wiru Mulapa – “Our Country is Truly Beautiful” – and its artists’ deep connection to Country.
GoCA will also host Canvas Connections tours where guests can explore artworks that reflect moments of reconciliation and resistance, including the works of Papunya Tula Artists – highly regarded artists of the Western Desert.
Across the resort, guests can take part in complimentary cultural activities – including a Bush Foods demonstration or Bush Yarns Experience, including a hands-on demonstration of Anangu hunting and gathering techniques – together with a curated Walk Through Time display, highlighting key moments in Australia’s shared history that continue to shape our future.
Every visit to Ayers Rock Resort helps support Ananagu communities through Indigenous training, employment, training, cultural partnerships and artist collaborations. Guests are also encouraged to directly contribute to the Anangu Communities Foundation as part of the week – delivering real outcomes in partnership with Anangu in the areas of health, education and cultural preservation.

The week marks the 1967 referendum and the Mabo decision – two key milestones in reconciliation.
