Tali Wiru

The contrast between the spectacular natural setting and the world-class gastronomic adventure on your plate is simply awe-inspiring. This is so much more than a dining experience; it's a moment in time remembered forever.

Tali Wiru, meaning 'beautiful dune' in local Anangu language, encapsulates the magic of fine dining under the Southern Desert sky. Instead of walls, this open-air restaurant has magnificent views of Uluru and the distant domes of Kata Tjuta, and for unique ambiance there's the stillness of the desert at night.

All four courses of the table d'hôte dinner have been expertly paired wines include Clover Hill Tasmania Exceptionnelle, MMAD McLaren Vale Rosé, Tar & Roses Pinot Grigio, Shaw & Smith Pinot Noir, Yangarra Ovitelli Blanc, Frogmore Creek Iced Riesling, Ghostgum Chardonnay, Two Hands Yacca Block Single Vineyard Shiraz and Frogmore Creek Iced Riesling. 

At the end of the meal, guests enjoy a hot chocolate or cognac as an Indigenous storyteller and star talker uncover the secrets of the Southern Desert skies and learn about the Traditional Owners of these lands, the Anangu.

• Accessing the site requires an uphill walk (approximately 300 metres) along uneven paths, including areas of soft sand.

Tali Wiru has been awarded an Australian Good Food Guide Chef Hat for the third year running, continuing its reign as the Northern Territory's highest-rated restaurant.

Tali Wiru has also won Oceania's Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant in the World Culinary Awards for 2024 and 2025.
